Overview

The purpose of this job is to support Trinseo business objectives by:
1.Assuring the delivery of material to our customer’s requested destination safely, on-time, undamaged, and with the right paperwork.
2.Resolving logistics issues quickly with the appropriate action taken.
3.Monitoring logistics costs for accuracy.
4.Driving improvements through identification of work process improvements, root cause investigations, and reporting / data analysis.
 

Responsibilities

Run the Business: 75%
1. Monitor timely shipments and administer logistics transactional movements.
2. Manage logistics changes and exceptions requiring special arrangements.
3. Identify, escalate, and resolve issues, including QN tracking and management.
4. Effectively communicate across internal and external partners, including in emergency situations.
5. Review and approve invoices, claims, and accessorial charges.
6. Manage process exceptions by mode, site, customer, country, business, etc.
7. Coordinate cleaning and maintenance if required.
8. Coaching peers, as needed and requested by leader (this will be required by more experienced LSRs)
 
 
Change the Business: 15%
Participate in very small projects, including generating reports for analysis as needed. 15%
 
Compliance:
Assure logistics activities are performed safely and in an environmentally conscious way. 5%
 
External Relationships:
Facilitate logistics service provider relationships and provide input on performance. 5%

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a business, logistics, supply chain, finance, or technology related field is preferred. However, individuals with other qualifications will be considered (e.g., other relevant education).
Minimum Experience
(years and type): For JG 6: 1 – 2 years experience in a relevant service role (e.g. Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Customer Service, Finance, or Supply Chain disciplines) for single mode LSR roles (see list in Appendix)
 
For JG 7: 2+ years’ experience in a relevant service role (e.g. Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Customer Service, Finance, or Supply Chain disciplines) for multi-mode LSR roles (see list in Appendix)
 
For all: Work experience in the chemical, safety or transport industry is a plus. However, individuals with other qualifications will be considered (e.g., other relevant work experience).
