Overview

Trinseo is seeking candidates to fill the position of Office Professional.  This position will be located onsite in Midland, Michigan.

Responsibilities

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Ordering and management of basic supplies. Preparing cost overviews & evaluations from SAP. Basic admin / general office duties including:  organizing conference rooms and catering on demand; day-to-day communication with peers.  Responds to routine correspondence (letter and/ or email) and receives and directs visitors to appropriate personnel.  Good understanding of site/office and safety requirements and can provide guidance regarding site requirements to visitors, customers, new employees, etc.
  • Organizes and maintains correspondence files and records; follows up on pending matters independently; responds to fairly routine questions and furnishes information to others; schedules appointments and coordinates arrangements for meetings and conferences; prepares letters and memoranda; prepares regular reports including the gathering and summarizing the data; prepares presentations using the appropriate software for word processing, graphics, and spreadsheets. Makes or assists in making travel arrangements.                                                
  • Independently organizes & schedules appointments and makes arrangements for meetings, housekeeping schedules, conferences, and travel for employees. 
  • Coordinate review, reconcile, follow up/resolve disputes and payment of purchase orders
  • Supports on-boarding of new employees    
  • Focal point for Accounts Payable (APAY) processes
  • Involvement in safety action committee

ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE

 

  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Advanced office skills including Microsoft applications and SAP.
  • Ability to acquire new skills quickly, work on urgent and multiple tasks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
  • Highly productive, self-sufficient, great problem solver, and superior time management skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse team and changing work environment.
  • Experience with purchase order and file share management.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required:  High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

Preferred:  An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

 

EXPERIENCE

Required:  Previous work experience in similar clerical position

Preferred: Experience of 5-8 years in similar position supporting laboratory and/or pilot coater
